Scott began his professional development career in 1988 when he went to work for Microsoft at the age of 17. Since then he has had a successful career as an IT consultant, entrepreneur, and technical author. He co-authored O'Reilly's best-selling book XML in a Nutshell which has sold 40,000+ copies and has been translated into 9 languages. Scott also authored Strategic XML and co-authored The Book of SAX. He regularly lectures on XML-related topics at international software development conferences. Scott brings his comprehensive knowledge of software product development and lifecycle management to each project undertaken by SMB Consultants.
